Portrait of Kristina, the photographer behind Diptych Studio

The photographer

Kristina. The eye behind Diptych Studio.

Kristina photographs every Diptych wedding herself. She was trained to notice proportion, geometry, negative space and light long before she photographed a wedding. Fashion and film came next, and then the Riviera Maya, where she has worked since 2012.

On the day, she gives direction when it helps: a quick adjustment for light, a few minutes set aside for portraits. The rest of the time she stays out of the way and lets the day happen.

"I'm not interested in forcing moments. I'm interested in noticing them."

Choose Focused Day if

Your day is compact

You'd like photographs from just before the ceremony through dinner, and you don't need long getting-ready coverage or a late reception.

Choose Premium if

You want room to breathe

You'd like more of the day documented, from getting ready and first moments through toasts, the first dance and the party.

Not sure? Count the hours from when you'd like photos to start until the moment you'd be happy for them to stop. That number tells you which collection fits.

From a couple

"Her style is timeless in the way she shoots and edits her photos. She was very professional throughout the entire process. One of the best decisions we made during our planning process!"

Questions

The practical details.

Do I need a call before booking?

No. Everything you need to decide is on this page. Kristina talks with every couple after they book, to plan the photography timeline for the day.

What's the difference between six and eight hours?

Six hours usually runs from shortly before the ceremony through portraits, cocktail hour and the start of the reception. Eight hours adds room at one or both ends: getting ready and first moments before the ceremony, or more of the party later in the evening.

When will we receive our photographs?

Your full high-resolution gallery is delivered online within 45 business days of the wedding.

When is our date actually reserved?

Only once the agreement is signed and the retainer is received. Until then the date stays open, including while we check availability.

What do we pay, and when?
  • To reserve: a 30% retainer, plus 16% tax.
  • Prices: listed prices do not include tax.
  • Remaining balance: payable in cash with no tax added. With any other payment method, 16% tax is added to the balance.
  • Cancellation: the retainer is non-refundable.
  • Travel: depends on your venue's location. Your exact total, including any travel charge, is shown before you sign or pay anything.
Can we add more hours?

Yes. Additional hours depend on availability, and the applicable fee applies.
